應用學習是有價值的高中選修科目，與其他高中科目相輔相成，構成靈活的科目組合，豐富學生的科目選擇，照顧學習多樣性，讓學生能體驗寬廣而均衡的學習經歷。應用學習著重實用的學習元素，與寬廣職業和專業領域連繫，理論與實踐並重。透過模擬或真實情境來發展學生的知識、共通能力、正確的價值觀和態度，幫助學生從中加深認識職業專才教育，為未來升學及就業作好準備。

Applied Learning (ApL) is a valued senior secondary elective subject which complements other senior secondary subjects to form a flexible subject combination that helps enrich students’ subject choices and cater for learner diversity, providing broad and balanced learning experiences for students. ApL focuses on practical learning elements linked to broad professional and vocational fields with dual emphasis on theory and practice. It develops students’ knowledge, generic skills, proper values and attitudes through simulated or authentic contexts, as well as enhances students’ understanding of vocational and professional education and training (VPET), preparing them for further studies and work in future.
